The province of Malaga boasts of being one of the most mountainous in the country and of having a variety of forests that, according to studies, amount to 27 different types of forests throughout the province.
That’s why, as good people from Malaga who boast about our land, we got down to work to create a route that was simply spectacular and in which every corner offered a unique photo and a different passage.
1ª FUENGIROLA – RONDA.
The beginning is in the town of Fuengirola, a coastal town known in half the world, from there we will leave for the Serranía de Ronda, but not before passing through the Sierra de las Nieves Biosphere Reserve, towns such as Coín, Yunquera and El Burgo will be an obligatory passage and where we will climb a couple of passes, Puerto de las Abejas and Puerto del Viento where from this last port we will end in Ronda.
2ª RONDA – RONDA.
The second stage will be a loop through the Genal Valley. We enter one of the most beautiful areas of the province and also of an unusual hardness, hard and short ramps will accompany us to the exit of the Valley through the village of Alpandeire.
The descent to the station of Jimera de Libar, will give us a small rest where once we arrive at this town we will head towards Benaoján and Montejaque passing through the door of the famous Cueva de la Pileta with final destination again in Ronda.
3ª RONDA – EL CHORRO, CAMINITO DEL REY.
In the third stage, we’ll head to one of the most visited destinations since it was remodeled a few years ago, the Caminito del Rey.
During the journey we will cross a unique village, Setenil de las Bodegas, where its cave houses are worth visiting and why not have an aperitif in some of them.
4ª EL CHORRO – ANTEQUERA – EL CHORRO.
In this second loop, we will visit Antequera, a city that is well worth visiting and we will pass by El Torcal, a whim of nature where the wind and the passage of time created this unique place.
From El Torcal we will head back, passing through Villanueva de la Concepción and the entire demanding stretch from La Joya, La Higuera to El Chorro again.
The descent towards El Chorro and Caminito del Rey has images like this.
5ª EL CHORRO -FUENGIROLA.
Once we leave the El Chorro area, we will cross the Guadalhorce Valley in its entirety.
The final part will take us along the border of the Sierra de Mijas with magnificent views of the entire Costa del Sol, where we will cross Mijas and Benalmadena to finish along the coastal strip after a few days of good roads, landscapes and mountains through the province of Malaga.
